Outstanding Japanese Edo Period Four Case Lacquer Inro - Kajikawa Family

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this outstanding quality Edo period four case lacquered Inro (circa 1840) by the highly regarded Kajikawa family, the front of the Inro depicts a crow perched upon a flowering plum branch decorated in an Oki - Hirame ground, the reverse depicts a crow in flight silhouetted against the moon and finely worked in black, Silver, red and Gold Taka-Maki-e ground, the Inro tied with a purple silk thread upon which slides a lacquered Ojime bead, signed to the underside Kajikawa with a red pot seal and contained within a wooden Tomobako.
 
The condition is exceptional.
