A highly unusual table vesta/match holder in the form of a glass boot with a solid sterling silver collar.
The silver collar is hallmarked for London 1922, with the maker''s mark of Robert Pringle & Sons. There are a couple of small dents and creases on the collar. The glass is in very good condition. The slightly opaque area below the collar is the roughened area for striking the matches. It is a heavy and tactile item.
