Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The rectangular body with a hinged ld, finished to the lower edges with a line of cock beading. The lid mounted with a brass keyhole escutcheon, and hinged opening handle. The main body with a pair of substantial lifting handles to either side. The interior fitted with six bottle divisions, each of magnum size. The whole on ring turned and waisted short legs, with brass cap castors.
Excellent patination to the mahogany and brass work.
Date c 1820.
