Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Each cartouche has floral motifs to the centre. The pull off lid is beautifully pieced and again, features intricate engraving with a small script initial on one side. The finial is cast and decorated with four individual flower heads. A wonderful, quality piece of Victorian silver, usable today.

Condition :- Excellent, with no splits or breaks. There is on small dimple above the scallop decoration to the base - commensurate with age and use.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable, full marks to both lid and body.
