Regency Antique Platform Mirror, C.1820

Description

This is an antique, English, Regency platform toilet mirror dating to c.1820.

Raised on flat bun feet the modest oblong platform, with rounded corners, displays desirable grain detail and patina and provides a stable base for the beautifully ring turned, baluster columns that terminate in bobbin turned finials.

The boxed mirror frame shows well with cross cut grain running into the later plate and is backed with typical board finish. The swing balances well and pinch locks with turned side knobs.

A simple and elegant piece delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
