Hendrik Jan Hein (Dutch) Born February 19th 1822 - January 8th 1866) followed in many ways the path of his brother Christianus Hendricus, who, like he lived, worked in Kampen, Hilversum and Haarlem, and also visited Bentheim and Kleef.
Joannes Esman gave him a painting lesson.

In 1847 Hendrik Jan Hein left for Haarlem, where he studied at the then famous flower painter Hendrik Reekers (1815-1854). With his casual still life of flowers and fruits, Hein subsequently succeeded. Inspired for his work, he entered the boxes of the most famous Haarlem flower growers.
Was a student of J. Plugger and J. Esman. In 1849, like his brother, he returned to Kampen. Painted and etched.
