A Gents Large 1954 Tissot Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents large 1954 Tissot wrist watch.

The watch has a 27B hand-winding movement which is working nicely… the 27B was produced from 1950 to 1961. The movement is signed Chs Tissot & Fils and the serial number 3,132,810 dates it back to 1954.

The watch itself is a good size at 37mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated with a stainless steel case back… there is some marking to the plate and some scratching to the case back but overall the condition is pretty good for a 1950s piece.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Tissot Antimagnetique… there is some crazing to the finish if you look quite closely. Dauphine shaped hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
