A very unusual Italian Art Deco carved carrara marble sculpture of a female set on a portoro marble stepped base. This sculpture is signed by the Italian artist Pugi.

This sculpture is beautifully carved.

Gugielmo Pugi 1850- 1920

Born in Fiesole, a small town close to Florence. He is a highly regarded and skilled sculptor who specialised in female figures and busts mainly working in alabaster and marble.
