A Gents Charming 1929 Gold Art Deco Wrist Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A gents charming 1929 gold Art Deco wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 24.5mm wide excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Glasgow 1929. The case has some unevenness, mainly to the back, but overall acceptable for a 1920s piece.

The convex lens is in good condition.

The textured dial has stylish Art Deco numbers, ornate hands (some of the gold finish has come off the minute hand), a subsidiary seconds dial and inner minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
