A 1930s Record Dreadnought Trenton Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A 1930s Record Dreadnought Trenton pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and is protected by an inner hinged cover.

Record was founded in 1903 and subsequently merged with several companies in 1916 to form Record Dreadnought Watch Co SA.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case was made by the Dennison Watch Company and is 10ct gold plated, originally guaranteed to wear 20 years. The case has light surface marks but overall is very good for its age.

The watch glass has a small 2mm chip to the bevelled edge but otherwise looks good.

The black dial is in good condition. The feuille shaped hands are a later replacement.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
