1930'S Desk Lamp with Shade

1900 - 1920
Description

Dating from around the 1920-1940's this curved brass desk lamp has a painted base and an inbuilt switch that we managed to put to use again when the lamp was rewired.

The light measures approximately 50cm in height when bent as shown in the photographs, and has a base of 18cm in length. The original brass 'shell' shaped shade is in good condition and is approximately 20cm in length. The lamp has been polished, but not lacquered.

The enamel or paint on the metal base has little 'nicks' in places, but as we don't over restore our lighting it has been left 'as is'. The colour does suggest this may have been used in military, or government offices.

Before the base was covered in felt we made a note of the trade marks that read:

"SUPREME' ENTIRELY BRITISH MADE LGH8 -

The price includes postage and packing within the UK mainland only, and for delivery to remote parts of the UK or abroad, please contact us for a quote.
