Description

GEORGE ADAMS, LONDON: a fine quality late 18th century Hepplewhite period SILVER TEAPOT and STAND.

Of beautiful "navette" shape, the teapot is fluted with bright-cut engraved decoration; slender elegant spout and a shaped wooden handle, whilst the stand is similarly shaped and decorated with a vacant cartouche to the centre and supported on four pretty feet. Both pieces are identically hallmarked for London 1795. The teapot measures 12ins wide and 7ins high, whilst the stand is 8ins wide.
