Fine Japanese IVory Netsuke Of A Sennin – Edo Period

A fine Japanese carved ivory netsuke of a Sennin made in the late Edo period he is depicted holding a staff to his beard covered chin with his right hand on his head, he wears a robe decorated with clouds and carries a double gourd bottle around his waist. Over years of use this splendid netsuke has developed a wonderful patina on the underside, it is unsigned and in excellent condition measuring 3 ¼ inches in length.
