A Finely Carved Italian Baroque Walnut Four Poster Single Bed

Description

A Finely carved Italian baroque walnut four poster single bed. Having an upholstered canopy raised on vase shaped turned columns with fine acanthus and anthemion carved detail. The head board again is exquisitely carved with a central satyr and carved griffins flanking the central coat of arms. The head board also with beautiful carved female caryatids. The foot board finely carved with dolphins and a central satyr with lions masks to the base of the columns. The whole supported on turned bun feet with finely carved side rails. Italy circa 1880

Dimensions: 83" high x 79" long x 49" wide

Condition: This bed is in stunning condition, cleaned and waxed
