A stunning Viennese silver vase by Hermann Ratzersdorfer c.1845 with three oval cartouches around the cylindrical body chased with detailed decoration depicting a character with animals or objects in each. These cartouches are separated with enamel ram’s heads around the neck and is finished with blue enamel around the rim and octagonal foot imitating lapis lazuli. This fabulous quality vase is stamped on the underside and in excellent condition standing just 3 inches tall.
