Japanese Mixed Metal Shibuichi Cigarette Case By Okubo Brothers

A beautiful Japanese mixed metal cigarette case in original fitted case marked Okubo Brothers, the cigarette case has a sprung hinge and is formed of shibuichi with silver rims inlaid in mixed metals including copper, silver and gold depicting a young girl playing with a kitten on the front, with books on the back. The inlaid scenes can be viewed from the inside of the case as well as the exterior and the case is signed by the artist on the reverse; the condition is excellent and the case measures 4 ½ inches across.
