Description

For sale is a fine quality Rosewood and Marquetry "Eclipse" Writing Table of square form. With a dual hinged top, operating on a cantilevered rising writing slope with extensive tooled leather fittings, standing on square tapered legs terminating on brass castors. The desk is stamped "The Eclipse" with patent details to the brass interior supports. All of the interior is original, with its original ink wells, cash account book, as well as stamp holders. The desk is in excellent original condition, with only slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. It would be difficult to find a finer example.
