Small Carved Pier or Side Table C.1895.

19th century
Description

Interesting little carved pier or side table c.1895. Solid walnut frame, with serpentine shaped front and sides all deeply carved with crisp foliate detail. The carving continues across the top and down the long cabriole legs in a pitted, bark-like design, terminating at the feet. Believed to be possibly of Maltese origin. Excellent condition with a particularly fine colour. Cleaned, polished, and treated for minor woodworm in our workshops.
