Description

Three Orchies Moulin des Loups & Hamage faience plates circa 1920, from the 'La femme et les sports' series, each printed with a scene of girls at various sporting pursuits and an amusing inscription implying equality of the sexes.

Plate No.1 titled 'Epreuve d'actresse et de song-froid' depicting a girl hunting carrying a shotgun

Plate No. 2 titled 'Egalite des sexes' depicting a couple in a motor car with the girl driving

Plate No.3 titled 'Chex moi, Monsieur j'ai l'ascenseur' depicting a couple mountaineering with the girl climbing on the shoulders of the man

Each printed with a central scene within a pink moulded basketwork border.

Two of the plates with the Moulin des Loups Hamage black printed mark.

All undamaged.
