Description

A good Victorian walnut and burr walnut serpentine shaped games and sewing table. The cross banded top swivels and opens to reveal 3 game boards including chess, backgammon and cribbage all inlaid with ebony, boxwood and cedar. The frieze drawer opens to a boxwood lined interior with various lidded compartments and partitions for games and sewing items. The table benefits from a newly upholstered and pleated sewing basket and the whole stands on a double stretcher base with shaped open fret ends, shaped feet and brown pot casters. Size:- Height...29.75''/ 75.5cm. Width...24.5''/ 62.5cm. Depth...17''/ 43cm. Open Width...32.5''/ 83cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £45.
