Suite of Six Biedermeier Satinwood Dining Chairs C.1840

Description

Rare and stylish suite of six mid 19th.c biedermier style satinwood dining chairs c.1840. Two armchairs plus four chairs, all in lovely honey-coloured satinwood veneers with an attractive inlaid mahogany detail to the top rails and sides. Armchairs with swept arm supports with applied roundels. All six chairs of identical seat height (17½") and raised on sabre legs front and rear. Original sprung seat and back pads upholstered in a patterned green and gold flat weave fabric. Some minor repairs to the veneers, otherwise excellent condition with clean covers. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Dimensions: Chairs – width 19", depth 21½", height 37". Arms – width 23"/23", depth 23"/24", height 32"/37".
