Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a fine quality early 19th century Regency period rosewood LIBRARY WRITING TABLE in lovely condition.

The figured top, with its gadrooned edging, is fitted with a well-tooled leather writing surface, whilst the frieze below contains two mahogany-lined drawers fitted with brass handles (not original). It is supported on particularly fine turned and carved standard ends, leading to carved lion's paw feet, original castors beneath, with stylish carved corbels above and below. Gorgeous! 52ins wide; 28ins deep; 29ins high. (132 x 71 x 73.5cms)
