Description

FRANZ XAVIER BERGMANN: an interesting and somewhat risqué "Vienna" cold-painted BRONZE FIGURE of a dancer, who wears an exotic dress and lots of bling jewellery! When her dress, which is hinged, is lifted, her naked body is revealed beneath. Signed to the back: "Namgreb".

**Franz Xavier BERGMANN inherited his foundry from his father in 1860 and soon became established for the fine quality of his work, particularly the attention to detail. His more saucy or erotic works were usually signed "Namgreb" ~ his surname split backwards.
