A 1930s Tempo Pocket Watch with Chain

1920 - 1940
Description

A 1930s Tempo pocket watch with chain.

The Tempo name was registered by Adolphe Haecker, La Chaux de Fonds, Bienne with the first Tempo watches being advertised in the mid 1920s.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 46mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in good condition with just light surface marks from use.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has a textured 3-d effect block pattern… it is in its original finish and there is a little darkening to the right hand side but not too detrimental. Original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes with a single chain which measures 28cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
