A Mid-size 1930s Art Deco Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A mid-size Art Deco wrist watch.

The watch has a good quality Swiss 15-jewel movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover.

The watch itself measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown and 32mm high excluding the lugs so it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist or it could be worn by a lady. The case is plated with a stainless steel case back… there is some surface marking but overall it is very satisfactory for a 1930s piece.

The slightly convex lens is in good condition.

The dial is in its original finish and it is in good condition with just a little minor marking if you look very close. The dial states that the watch is ‘water resist’ and ‘shock proof’ but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
