A decorative antique tapestry fire screen in Louis XVI Style dating from circa 1900. The gadrooned and guilloche-carved oblong frame on splayed, square-cut scrolling legs, and enclosing a tapestry panel of three classical women in a garden setting. In a lovely original faded green/grey paint with blue and gilt highlights.

Painted and carved wood

Frame solid and sturdy. An old mend to one side of the feet. Tapestry in good condition. Wear and marks commensurate with age.
