Description

A very good mid Victorian period mahogany 2 drawer writing table of generous proportions. Of very good construction in solid mahogany, now with a lovely mellow colour and patina. The rectangular top is inset with a sumptuous green leather writing surface which is finished with blind and gilt tooled decorations. To the front there is a pair of long drawers, fitted with their original wooden bun handles. This table is finished to the rear so could be free standing within a room if desired. It stands on elegant reeded legs (in the manner of Gillows) which terminate in their original brass and ceramic castors. This attractive and very practical writing table is offered for sale in excellent original condition, ready to go straight into the home or office.
