Jacobean Oak Joynt Stool. Circa 1685

17th century
Description

Good Late 17th. century oak joynt stool with original pegged top and standing on well turned legs united with plain stretchers. Stamped on one frieze with maker's initials. Stool is a little wormy in places especially up inside of one of the legs. It is all very old and dead and has been treated. Otherwise all in fine original condition except one old replacement stretcher. Fine rich colour with great waxed patina.
