A Gents 1950s Venus Date Pointer Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Venus date pointer wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, an FHF 70 with 19 jewels, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Venus name.

The watch itself is a good size at 36mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated with a stainless steel snap-on case back. The front of the case is in good condition but there is significant wear to the back. The actual case back is signed with the Venus name and logo.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has handsome copper coloured numbers and hands, with a blued date pointer hand with red arc shaped end. The dial is in lovely condition.

A later leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
