Cut Glass & Silver Plated Claret Jug

Description

A Cut Glass & Silver Plated Claret Jug.

The top with a silver plated hinged lid, and fir cone finial, above the spout decorated with a mask of Bacchus.

The handle with a Griffin thumb grip, and folded leaf decoration, tapering to the scrolled end.

The tall,slender body decorated with bands of diamond, and lattice cut glass decoration.

Good heavy glass with crisp deep cut glass.

Circa 1900
