In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The back splats are elegantly curved and the settee has shaped arm rests and delicate tapering legs with spade feet.
It is in excellent condition throughout and the seat has been newly re-covered with good quality classic style fabric to compliment the settee. It is strong and sturdy with no major damages. There are some signs of age and use and minor marks on the wood but nothing untoward for a piece of this age. It has a lovely rich patina and has been cleaned and given a light wax and is ready for the home.
