Description

A fabulous late Victorian English inkstand made from solid Oak and fitted with quality silver plated mounts.

The rear horseshoe pen stand will accommodate 4 dip pens, perfect to showcase some of your favourites from your collection. The pair of crystal inkwells have the most fabulous Jockey Cap hinged lids with hand detailing highlighting stitching to the hat.

There is a lidded box in the centre, the lid having a shield shaped mount and the underside retaining the original red leather lining; the underside of the base also retains the original faded red velvet.

Late nineteenth century dating to around 1890 / 1900.

Fine quality and excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age. 11" x 6" x 6" tall.
