Description

Very pretty and substantial art nouveau silver quaich with twin reeded bands around the rim sandwiching hollow cast trefoil handles and with applied trefoil leaf decoration around the lower half. Hallmarked for London 1898, makers John & Frank Fairpoint (Fairpoint Brothers).

It measures 6 3/4" wide across the handles, 4 3/4" rim to rim and 1 5/8" high. It weighs 228g/7.3ozt. Condition is very good: the handles are slightly unevenly curved and there is some surface wear to the inside on the floor. No dents or repairs; light surface wear externally, the marks are a little rubbed but fully legible
