A Gents 1950s Zodiac Glorious Wristwatch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Zodiac Glorious wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, 721 based on an FHF movement, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Zodiac name.

The watch itself measures 33.5mm excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel with a screw-on case back. The inside of the case back is signed with the Zodiac name and the number 1137008 is between the two top lugs. The front of the case is in good condition while the back has some surface marking but not too detrimental at all for a 1950s piece.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in good condition with original dauphine hands, centre seconds hand and minute markers. The number markers are within the metal chapter ring which is quite an unusual feature. There is a little light freckling to the cream section of the dial.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
