A large and impressive Austrian TERRACOTTA FIGURE of young Negress holding a basket.

This rather charming (and surprisingly heavy) figure is finely and sympathetically sculpted and depicts the bare-breasted girl wearing a necklace of silver and gold coins as she proffers her basket. Unsigned, but with moulded numbers within the base. 36ins (91.5cms) high.
