A Rosewood and Satinwood Regency Period Antique Circular Drum Table

19th century
Description

A rosewood and satinwood Regency Period antique circular drum table. Having a circular top veneered in beautifully figured rosewood with satinwood banding and a boxwood edge. The frieze with four working cedar lined drawers and four dummy drawers, each with fine quality ormolu appliqués and further Classical ormolu maidens around the frieze. Supported on a square pedestal support and cruciform platform continuing to sabre legs terminating in brass hairy paw caps and castors in the manner of George Smith. English circa 1820

Dimensions: 48" diameter x 28.5" high

Condition: This table is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed

Provenance: Ex Farley Hall, Surrey purchased at Sotheby's 1992
