Antique 1917 Gold Plated Elgin Stem Winding Pocket Watch.

Description

Antique 1917 gold plated Elgin stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a stem winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. U.S.A. 17 jewels and has the serial number 19250291 which dates it back to 1917.

The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the stem. The rolled gold case and was originally guaranteed to wear for 25 years. The case is in nice condition with crisp engine turned detail to the back and a vacant cartouche to the centre. The loop has an old repair although very strong.

The glass watch lens is in nice condition with only light surface marking from use.

The dial is signed Elgin. The dial has a couple of faint hairline cracks under the sub seconds dial.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

Price includes worldwide postage.
