C19th William IV period mahogany circular extending dining table with extra leaf .

Superb quality mahogany table with a 'split-pod' opening carved base with well-carved bulbous capstan column support onto shaped legs terminating in impressive lion's paw feet with claw detail.

The pull-out action mechanism with oak runners and fitted with circular brass 'twist' clip fixings to secure the top . The whole table , including the original spare extension leaf fitted with an elegant shallow frieze .

The table has benefitted from an expensive highly professional re-polish some 10 years ago , as is in excellent ready-to-use condition. Strong , sturdy table of good proportions and presence.

Good rich colour thoughout.
