A charming Japanese Meiji period one-piece ivory okimono depicting a happy farmer pausing by a plant to smoke, holding his pipe in one hand and his tobacco pouch & pipe case in the other he carries rope wrapped around a short ladder. This amusing okimono is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration and is inlaid with a signed seal on the underside standing 7 inches tall.
