Novelty Ships Wheel Mantel Clock, Circa 1880

Description

A good quality novelty ships wheel clock with swiss 30 hour movement, retailed by Vincent of Weymouth.

The gilded brass case in excellent condition with beautiful agate coloured stones to the arms of the wheel and silvered cartouche beneath the dial with the retailers name "Vincent Weymouth, shaped plate body and decorative rope twist to the oval base.

Silvered and engraved brass dial with Roman numerals.

Delicate blued steel hands.

Bevelled edge glass.

30 hour (daily wind) swiss cylindrical balance wheel movement in fully restored and serviced condition.

Height: 10"

Base: 7" wide x 5" deep

Wheel: 10.5" diameter

Dial: 2 3/4"

Overall a good quality clock in fine condition with the agate stones in perfect condition.

The clock has been sympathetically cleaned and the movement fully restored to a high standard by our FBHI restorer with 12 months guarantee.
