Very unusual late 19th.c. painting of a scolded dog c.1890. A large and very well painted oil on canvas of a young dog in a sorry looking pose with its tail between its legs. Artist unknown but with a faint trace of a signature in the bottom right hand corner. Great character, with some obvious surface damage. Presented unframed on the original stretcher.
