Edwardian Solid Silver Christening Tankard 1906

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautifully embossed small EDWARDIAN SILVER TANKARD made by the noted silversmith, William Devenport.

The embossed floral design surrounds a blank cartouche which could be used for a dedication or initials. Standing on a raised base with a classical embossed handle this lovely antique tankard still retains much of the gilt coating to the interior surfaces.

This would make a lovely gift for someone and this size of tankard would be ideal as a christening mug.

There is no damage and no repairs. Some wear to the gilt interior.
