Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The texture and patination are excellent. The piece is signed by the sculptor on the collar of the sleeping dog. There is a historic repair to the marble base, this is not easily seen and does not detract from the beauty of the piece. A super example of the work of this renowned artist.
