Chinese Silver Engraved Mother Of Pearl Canister C.1820

A good quality Chinese mother of pearl canister, possibly to hold gaming chips, c.1820 rectangular in form with chamfered corners it has silver mounts (unmarked) and a sprung side-hinged lid with push button catch to open. Each of the panels of this box is finely engraved with decoration and the top of the lid is finished with a clear shield cartouche, this canister is in excellent condition commensurate with age and stands 4 ¾ inches tall.
