Solid Silver Heart Shaped Trinket Box and Tray 1900

This superb SOLID SILVER HEART SHAPED TRINKET BOX was made by Adie & Lovekin in 1900.

The hinged lid is heavily embossed with a scroll and lattice design and has a central blank cartouche that could be used to personalise this lovely box. The sides and base are of plain form, both the base and the lid have crimped edges and inside the gilt finish is still vibrant, making this a very attractive piece.

The box comes with a matching SILVER HEART SHAPED PIN TRAY (Made by Peach Bros. in 1901) into which the box fits perfectly and the tray has a similar embossed design with a central blank cartouche. Whilst this is not strictly a matching set (The tray has a different maker and year to the box), they fit together extremely well, are both in excellent condition and would look lovely in any setting.
