Japanese Meiji Period IVory Fisherman Okimono

A splendid Japanese Meiji period ivory okimono depicting a fisherman stood on a rock by the side of a flowing river netting a fish, he wears an apron made from reeds and holds a detachable rod aloft. This well carved okimono has an aged split on the base otherwise the condition is excellent; it stands 10 inches in to the top of the rod.
