Antique 1891 silver Waltham pocket watch.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed Waltham, Mass and it has the serial number 4821146 which dates it back to 1891. A winding key is included. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 49.7mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and has Birmingham hallmarks for 1890 with the makers mark for Alfred Bedford, manager of Waltham, London. The case has some rubbing to the engine turned detail and a mild unevenness to the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1890s piece.

The glass lens has light surface marking from use although very acceptable.

The white enamel dial is signed A.W.W.Co, Waltham, Mass. It has faint surface scratches and a faint hairline crack at 4 o'clock although hardly noticeable.

The watch has its original gold hands and blued steel sub second hand.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
