Early 1900s Oak Kneehole Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

This Oak box top desk has had a clean and has had some refinishing, it is now in a most useable tidy condition. A great size top work at and a larger than normal kneehole for your knees (29ins wide 24 high to nearest inch). It is in used condition and has not been all restored, just some minor attention, but we feel it is quite acceptable and at this price a serious bargain. The top has a good quality leather with a gold tooling as can be seen in the pictures, there is some marking but again nothing serious at all. There are nine drawers as is normal for one of these desks and there are brass swan neck handles on the drawers. Not original but there have been in place for quite a while.

All in all a good useable oak box top desk that will not break the bank, the leather trimmed tub chair goes very well with this desk and the details can be seen on our web site.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
