Edwardian Wall Light with a Cherub

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1900-1920, this fine quality gilded brass wall light is highly decorative with a lot of intricate details including the profile of a cherub on the back plate. It was always designed for electricity and we have recently had it rewired to UK regulations.

The light measures 25cm across and is 22cm in length from the top of the leaf to the lampshade fitting. The backplate is 17cm in length and 8cm across at the widest point; it has two ready drilled holes to allow easy fitting to the wall. It is solid gilded brass, and it weighs 1.3kgs.

The lampshade will need to be 6cm across at the top to fit inside the lampshade holder, which has three screws to keep it in place, but if an original shade cannot be found, then we can suggest a source for good quality reproductions shades.

Postage and packing within the UK mainland has been included in the price but for outside the mainland and delivery abroad, please contact us for a quote.
