FJ & RD Story Antique Clocks has dated this piece to the 1890s.

The lower section has a solid mahogany top with satinwood cross banding and the original brown gilt and blind tooled inset leather writing surface, above a shaped rectangular central frieze drawer with fine marquetry inlay.

Flanked by three mahogany lined bow front drawers with fine marquetry inlaid detail depicting Griffins and the original brass turned drawer pulls, the drawer locks stamped Cadwallader London.
Marquetry inlaid pilasters, the whole raised on eight square tapering supports with brass castors.

English made circa 1890-1900
Dimensions: 47" wide x 38" high x 25" deep (knee hole 24" high x 19" wide)
